Day 2: Drive From Kathmandu to Shabrubeshi
Driving Hours- 7/8 hours

Today we will begin our journey with the help of our Langtang Valley trek map and Linney. Getting to the Langtang Valley Trek starting point is easy as you need to hop into the jeep, which will take you directly to the Shabrubeshi. The total driving hours from Kathmandu to Shabrubeshi is around 7-8.
You will drive alongside the Trisuli River, where you might even glimpse adventurous folks rafting through the powerful rapids. And remember to look up because the majestic mountains are already warmly welcoming you. Once you reach Trisuli Bazar, you'll be greeted by the impressive Manaslu Massif, Ganesh, Jugal Himal, and Langtang towering above you.
Now, brace yourself for a slightly bumpy road from here onwards. It's about 50 km / 31 miles to Dhunche and then another 15 km / 9 miles to Syabrubesi, where we'll spend the night in the guest house before officially starting the trek the next day to Langtang Valley.
Day 3: Trek Shabrubeshi to Lama Hotel

Today is the first day where our official trek to Langtang Valley starts. With the help of the Langtang Valley trek map and itinerary, we will hit the trails after early morning breakfast.
We had to pass through the stunning forest, with Langtang Lirung creating a breathtaking backdrop to reach Ghora Tabela. From here, the path led us into lush meadows, and on both sides of the valley, the Langtang Range stretched out before us. Continuing our walk, the valley widens, revealing herders tending to their livestock on the high summer pastures.
There are only temporary settlements and an army post in the area.
It was a bustling village called Langtang, with trekkers' tea houses. However, after the devastating 2015 earthquake, the place is filled with lifeless boulders.
We walked for another half an hour, following our map and itinerary until we reached Mundu. This is the village where we will spend the night in one of the teahouses.
Day 4: Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley
Trekking Hours- 7 hours

So, today you start your trek from Lama Hotel, which is at an elevation of 2,470 meters (8,103 ft). Today's trail follows a map that takes you through thick forests to the Langtang Khola (river).
You'll cross a few suspension bridges along the way. As you go higher, the trees become less dense, and the valley opens up, revealing stunning views of the mountains. During the trek, you'll come across Gumanechok, Ghodatabela, and Thangshyap (at 3,140 meters / 10,302 ft), where you can take a break at teahouses.
These villages offer a glimpse into the local Tamang culture and their way of life. Next, you'll reach Langtang Village, the most significant settlement in the valley. It's a beautiful village with traditional stone houses surrounded by terraced fields. The town sits amidst the towering peaks of the Langtang Himal. You'll find teahouses, lodges, a small monastery, and even a cheese factory to explore here. Our overnight stay will be at one of the teahouses of Langtang Valley.
Day 5: Trek Langtang valley to Kyanjin Gompa
Trekking Hours- 3/4 hours
Distance Travel- 6 Km
Accommodation- Tea House
You will leave the Langtang village early after a delicious breakfast here. We now move towards the high pasture lands where we will see many yaks grazing in sight. Watermills and yak pastures are very interesting to watch among the backdrop views of the beautiful mountain.
Take a stroll, soak in the surroundings, and don't forget to check out the local cheese factory along the way. Today's walk will mostly be by the Mani walls and over wooden bridges. The distance from Langtang Valley to Kyanjin Gompa is around 5.2 km, which you can cover in 2-3 hours. As you approach Kyanjin Gompa, you'll start feeling the high-altitude vibes, so be well-hydrated and hold your pace. Your guide will give you all the information about the trail and its highlights. You will spend the night at one of the cozy tea houses in Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 6: Explore around the Kyanjin Gompa and acclimatization trek to Tsergo Ri

We will stick to our Langtang Valley trek map and tannery and take an acclimation/rest day at Kyanjin Gompa. We will explore the Kyanjin Gompa and take a short acclimatization hike to Tserko Ri, the highest point of our trek.
We will wake up early and enjoy breakfast with the mountain views in front of us. We're heading out for a hike to Tserko Ri in the morning. The views up there are mind-blowing. You'll see the beautiful Langtang range stretching out before your eyes.
It's the highest point of our trek, and the sight of Langtang Peak and the valley below will leave you breathless. Once we're back, we can check out Kyanjin Gompa, where the Buddhist community lives. It'll take around 5 hours to reach the top and 3 hours to return to Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 7: Trek Kyanjin Gompa to Ghodatabela
Trekking Hours- 4 hours

The descend-back trek starts today, so we will wake up early and head out on the trail. The route is really pleasant and easy to walk today. It will be about a 5-hour trek, sticking to the familiar trails we took on our way up. You'll feast on the awe-inspiring Himalayan panorama one last time from a new angle.
Day 8: Trek Ghodatabela to Shabrubeshi
Trekking Hours- 6/7 hours
Distance Travel- 17 Km
Accommodation- Tea House
Heading down towards Syabrubesi, we'll follow the familiar path passing through Bamboo and Lama Hotel. The trail is lined with dense bamboo and vibrant rhododendron forests. Most of the trek to Lama Hotel follows the downstream of Langtang Khola (River).
Now, on the final day of the trek, we have some options! There are two routes leading back to Syabrubesi. One choice is retracing our steps through the forest and the villages of Bamboo and Rimche. This route takes approximately 6 hours and offers a chance to reconnect with familiar surroundings. Alternatively, we can opt for a shorter but steeper path that rewards us with breathtaking views of the Langtang Valley.
The second route passes through Rimche and Sherpa Gaun. The choice between the two routes depends on the weather conditions and your energy levels.
The distance from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi is about 11 km, usually taking 4-5 hours to cover. As we descend, it's generally easier and quicker than uphill trekking. We'll spend the night in Syabrubesi in one of the tea houses.
Day 9: Drive Syabrubeshi to Kathmandu By Bus

Today is the last day of our Langtang Valley trek, where our map and itinerary take us back to Kathmandu from Syabrubesi.
We will wake up early for today's journey and return to Kathmandu by bus. The distance from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi is around 150 km, and it should take about 7-8 hours to drive back comfortably.
Once you're back in Kathmandu, take it easy and enjoy your free time. You'll have plenty of opportunities for shopping or exploring the city. Thamel is the place to be if you're in the mood for souvenir hunting or want to pamper yourself with a relaxing spa treatment after a week-long trek. Feel free to make the most of your leisure time.
Day 10: Transfer to the Kathmandu international airport
