The name of the river Trishuli came from a famous pilgrimage destination called Gosaikunda, which lies high in the Himalaya. Here, Lord Shiva drove his trident into the rocky mountain to create three springs, these are the source of this river, hence its name. The river has fixed some truly impressive gorges in it slower part as it has cut its way through the 2000-meter high Mahavarat Range. This river represents the ideal rafting trip, just the right length of time, exciting rapid technically difficult and it is easily reachable from Kathmandu.
