The Jeep trip was one of our trip highlights! A local tour company Mountain Rock guide accompanied us, explaining local history at stops. We passed through Sherpa homelands unseen by air—centuries-old monasteries, yak caravans, and turquoise rivers. Their drivers carried emergency medical kits and satellite phones. Admittedly, the ride is very tiring, but its is one of the safest options to reach the Lukla. We booked the private jeep ride for comfort—worth the extra.
Mountain Rock Treks made our Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak) tour a complete success. Mr. Dipak, the operator and owner, handled everything from permits to hotels. Raj, our guide, was a class act in terms of professionalism regarding behavior and courtesy and looked after our health and well-being at all times. Although the climb was technically demanding, Raj's leadership and his team's determination guided all of us to the top. The view from the top was a sight worth all the toil. I would recommend Mountain Rock Treks to any climber who wants a professional and value-for-money climbing experience.
From the very high-quality hotel stays in Kathmandu to the Yeti Home in Namche and Lukla, all were excellent. The ease and spectacular views of the Himalayas that the helicopter took on and from Lukla added to the convenience. The professionalism of the guide and deep knowledge of the region lifted it, and the porter service made this trek quite effortless. Everything went well, from accommodation to logistics. This trek combines adventure in the Himalayas with unmatched luxury and comfort. I highly recommend Mountain Rock Treks for anyone seeking a premium EBC trek.
The company was very organized and professional from the start. Our guide, Ramesh, was amazing and made the trek worry-free and fun. He knew everything about the area and made sure we were all safe and comfortable. When one of our group members got sick, they handled everything quickly and professionally, including organizing a helicopter to get her. The helicopter fly out to Kathmandu at the end of the trek was an unforgettable experience with some of the most amazing views of Everest and all its neighboring peaks that you will ever find. This is adventure travel with peace of mind. I would highly recommend them if you are thinking about doing this trek.
Being a resident of Dubai, I was looking for some good Everest Base Camp trek packages from here but could hardly find any. Then I found Mountain Rock Treks and they were just amazing. Right from the first mail to the trek, everything was well organized. They gave complete details about flight booking, visa, what to pack etc., thus making everything very easy for us. Once in Nepal the trek was like a dream come true..we had awesome views of Everest and other surrounding peaks throughout our trek. Our guide, Pasang, was very good and helpful. I would say if you are a resident of Dubai looking for an adventure never to forget, then Mountain Rock Treks is surely your answer.
Doing the Everest Luxury Kongde Trek with a helicopter return was luxury and adventure combined. Mountain Rock Treks organized everything to perfection, making it one of the most stress-free and enjoyable trips I have ever been on. The trek itself was amazing; we walked around 4-5 hours per day on beautiful trails passing through Sherpa Villages. The lodges were of a premium standard, and the food was exceptional. However, the absolute highlight was the helicopter flight back to Kathmandu, where we flew over Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, getting stunning views of Nuptse & Lhotse as well as many other mountains. I can’t thank all of you at Mountain Rock Treks enough for such an unforgettable trip. Would do this trek again in a heartbeat.
I trekked EBC 3 years back and wanted to do something a bit bigger challenge than just EBC; Gokyo Chola Pass Trek popped up the perfect plan. As per my friend's recommendation, I also used Mountain Rock Treks. They were fantastic at organizing everything. The trail was really hard, especially the climb to Chola Pass. Still, our guide kept motivating us, making sure we were fine. Tea houses across the Cho La Pass are basic, not as good as EBC ones, but still pretty decent compared to how remote that area is.
Shared jeep was great value compared to helicopter backups. At 4:30 AM in Thamel we were picked up by Mountain Rock;s guide. The good conditions of the Jeep handled Salieri's steep hills with ease. While seats were rigid, the crew provided fleece blankets and thermoses of hot water. We reached Surkhe by 7 PM, exhausted but thrilled to have avoided Luka’s fog. The company guides at the Lukla had our permits ready—no wait whatsoever. This route adds one extra day but cuts out all weather anxiety as well as the cancellations and Lukla flight postponement. Perfect for monsoon trekkers.
