Bhimtang Manaslu Trek takes you to the last stage of Larke La(5160m), providing you with a unique experience. Bhimtang Trek is also part of Annapurna Circuit Trek and Manaslu Circuit Trek. Trekking along the trails of Bimthang, trekkers can cherish every moment in the lap of nature. Trekkers will be astonished by the beauty of tranquil Ponker and Nayamlo lakes located just beneath the majestic Himalayas range. These two lakes are the summer home to the ducks. Verily, joining these trekkers will gain the unique experience of wilderness and serenity. 

Trekkers will pass through the lush forest and picturesque ethnic settlements. On the way, you may witness various endangered fauna such as Red Panda, Deer, Langur, Himalayan Thar, the reclusive Snowleopard, and Pheasant. After you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, we will transfer you to the hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.

Today we will take a cultural day tour around the Kathmandu Valley. Visiting the Pashupatinath, Swyombhunath, Boudhanath Stupa, and Durbar Square, we will get the cultural, historical, and religious insight from ages back. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Around 9 hours of drive from Kathmandu, we will reach Chamje from Kathmandu. Then, a short walk from Chamje, we will finally reach Tal and spend the whole night there.

Following the trail to the east bank of Marshyangdi river with Annapurna glacier to the north, we will walk through the pristine barley, wheat, and potato fields. After that, we will climb steadily through the pines and follow the roads to Dharapani. Dharapani is a busy Tibetan town. Crossing the Marshyangdi River with a suspension bridge, we will reach the charming Gurung village, Tilje. Further continuing our trek, the trail leads us to Goa and Suti Khola. On the way, we will walk through the beautiful oak and rhododendron forest, cherishing the spectacular views of Manaslu, Nadi Chuli, Himal Chuli, and Annapurna II. Overnight in Shuti Khola.

Today we will walk passing the zig jag trails and verdant forest areas. We will view numerous glaciers on the trail. Next, we will pass through some steep portion of the trail that leads us to the Sangura Kharka, a yak pasture. Continuing the walkthrough forested areas, we will reach Hompuk and then Bimthang.

We will venture on the rocky trail behind the glacier wall on this day. The cloud obscures the views during the morning. Following the trail, we will first reach Dangbboche Kharka at the foot of the Larkya La and Manaslu region. Further trekking, the trail leads us through the rough, dusty track that takes us to the confluence of three glaciers: Clockwise, the Kaechakyu, Ponkar, and Salpudanda. Later, visiting the Ponkar and Nyamlo Tal, you will get astonished by their beauty. The thrilling beauty of majestic glaciers and majestic peaks lures the trekkers. Peaks include the Chombi cone, the Kechakyu pinnacle, Kang Garu, Nemjung, and Gyalji Kang. We also witness Larke(6249m), the northwest face of Manaslu(8163m), and Phungi Himal(6538m) in the south from SE.
After enjoying the beautiful views, we will return to Bimthang and stay overnight.

Retracing the route, we will trek to Goa from Bhimtang. You will get to witness the rich flora and fauna while trekking.

  • Q1. How difficult is Bimthang Manaslu Trek?

    Bimthang Trek is a moderate trek that requires no previous trek experience. However, having a trekking experience makes your trek easier. Any person with good physical fitness can join the trek to Bimthang.

    The maximum elevation to be reached during the trek is Ponker lake situated at an altitude of 3965m. As the trekkers shouldn’t have to trek to the higher altitudes, there is no chance of getting altitude sickness.

  • Bimthang Manaslu Trek is doable throughout the year. However, the autumn(Sep-Nov) and spring(March-May) seasons are considered the time for trekking to Bimthang. During these seasons the weather normally remains stable and the skies are clear offering you stunning views and a wonderful experience.

    Even winter is the best for people who love to walk during the cold climate.

  • Trekking to the Bimthang you need to carry Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit and Trekker’s Information Management System(TIMS) card.

  • enjoyable trek

    The Bimthang Manaslu hike was enjoyable and varied with many mountain views, even if the weather was mixed during the climb. The hike was fantastic and difficult, but it was well worth it in every way, despite the difficulties. Everything was well-organized, and our guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, making the trek significantly more enjoyable.

  • Great vacation

    We spent a great week in Nepal, which was properly organized by Mountain Rock Treks, and we trekked with a hilarious and experienced guide named Gopal. All flights and accommodations were pre-booked, and thanks to the beautiful weather, hiking was a lot of fun. We've been really well taken care of. We had a fantastic view of Maanslu from the Larkya la pass. I would strongly suggest them to anyone looking for a stress-free vacation in Nepal. Inquire with Mountain Rock Treks.
