I chose this hike specifically for the gentle nature while being able to combine nature and history. The Namobuddha-Panauti trek offered by Mountain Rock Treks was perfect - deep green forests, terraced fields, and temples that were hundreds of years old. Our guide had some great stories about the local legends as well, which added to the enjoyment of the hike. Everything was followed up with refreshments halfway through and some comfortable transportation. 

I booked just a week before our trip, after reviewing our itinerary when I found the Mountain Rock Treks website. Mountain Rock Treks got back to us right away with our flights and our permits. Our airport pickup went smoothly, with our guide Nima at the arrivals gate waiting for us.

When we found out on our connecting flight that we ended up losing a day of sightseeing due to the flight getting canceled, Nima was able to adapt the flight itineraries and make the necessary appointments so we wouldn't miss anything regarding Lhasa. 

Mountain Rock Treks provided a half-day tour of Kathmandu, and provided so much information about the rich heritage of Nepal. Our guide was incredibly impressed by the history and passionate at each site we visited, allowing for a memorable experience at each stop. It was impressive to see the company's attention to detail and the smooth flow from one location to another.

As a low-budget traveller, I was glad to get a good deal with Mountain Rock Treks regarding the Rara Jeep Tour. He covered all the transport and feeding, lodges, and park fees, which made it an extremely cheap method of discovering the scenic beauty of Rara. Of course, it was clear that the quality of the services provided was much higher than the price.

The jeeps were in good shape, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the food was decent and filling. It was exactly as described with no additional charges or costs, as was said that it would be.

Each guide made sure that their contribution to the tour was as valuable as it could be. They were very friendly and provided us with good background information about the traditions of the local people. 

The team were very professional throughout the entire process from booking the trek to the conclusion of the trek. They did everything, so I was able to enjoy the actual trek. The guides were reassuring throughout each and every trek, and the porters were very friendly, too.

The price point for the trip package seemed reasonable, given the level of service and the extraordinary views I experienced. I would certainly trek with Mountain Rock Treks again.

Through Mountain Rock Treks, we went to Annapurna Base Camp. Our guide, Suman, came with a vast knowledge of the local culture, a sense of humor, and compassion. When one of us was having trouble with the altitude, he kept his composure and, in a polite manner, changed the pace of the group. Our porters, Bikash and Kumar, never ran out of smiles and encouragement, not even when the rain was freezing.

Every aspect—from getting there to the tea house—was taken care of without any hitches. It is really evident that the team is passionate about their work, and they give it their all. They were not only the people who showed the way, but they also took care of us as if we were their family members. We would have never reached ABC without their help. Because of limited vacation days, I arranged, as mentioned earlier, with Mountain Rock Treks in advance the helicopter flight from Gorakshep to Kathmandu. Due to the time saved by helicopter, instead of a 4-day trek to Kathmandu, I had more time in Nepal. 

It would have been an arduous trek return, and yet we enjoyed the spectacular and beautiful air scenery of Everest and the Sherpa villages. The helicopter ride was efficient, smooth, and on time, which is vital when holidays are limited and you're traveling out of your country. 

Mountain Rock Treks made our ABC trek a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! Our guide Santosh was meticulous, kind and undeniably knowledgeable. 

From airport pick-up to our last day, every detail during the trek was handled - the accommodation and food along the way were exceptional, and our porters were beasts - always smiling and full of energy. 

The itinerary was fused with opportunities to soak in the mountain views, and never felt rushed. We cannot recommend the Mountain Rock team enough for a low-stress, rich experience in the Himalayas and we are already planning to come back for another trek.
