The Changu Narayan Temple tour we took with Mountain Rock Treks was a spiritual journey. What I appreciated most was how our guide brought important respect to the reasons for the temple's religious aspect and local customs. Mountain Rock Treks acted very professionally, with regard to their service and attention to detail.
A friend of mine had suggested Mountain Rock Treks for this hike, and they did not disappoint. My guide, Sudip, was a legend, so friendly and knowledgeable.
We walked and trekked at a great pace and packed all in, as we did a lot of sightseeing and visited Nepal's oldest Hindu temple! I would highly recommend them, and I would dive into another trek with them in a second.
We chose Mountain Rock Treks for a fun-filled Chandragiri Day Tour and couldn’t be happier. The team added a guided hike option along the ridge, blending hiking and cable car rides beautifully. Our guide was knowledgeable about local flora, fauna, and mountain lore, enhancing the scenic walk. After the tour, they surprised us with a cultural add–on: a visit to a nearby Tamang village. Everything was well–organized, time‑efficient, and full of laughs. Highly recommended for families and adventure seekers.
Our group of five finished the Everest Base Camp trek and were in desperate need to return to Kathmandu. Mountain Rock Treks organized a group helicopter, and the process from reservation to touchdown was flawless. The ride was exhilarating, with a final, breathtaking view of the Himalayas. We avoided the disappointment of delayed flights and the six-hour drive from Ramechhap. For trekking groups, this is the fastest, most comfortable way to wrap up your Himalayan adventure.
The Rupina La Pass Trek with Mountain Rock Treks was a great experience. The support from the company was top notch beginning with the airport pick up all the way to the airport drop off. Our guide, Mr Sherpa, was knowledgeable, personable, and kept pace with our group, and this allowed us to adapt to a difficult trek. The porters were hard-working, personable and attentive and made sure that all of our belongings were properly protected. Mr Dipak Pandey, who managed the whole organization of the trek, was very professional and attentive and made sure that we were clear on the trip plan where applicable.
The Jeep trip was one of our trip highlights! A local tour company Mountain Rock guide accompanied us, explaining local history at stops. We passed through Sherpa homelands unseen by air—centuries-old monasteries, yak caravans, and turquoise rivers. Their drivers carried emergency medical kits and satellite phones. Admittedly, the ride is very tiring, but its is one of the safest options to reach the Lukla. We booked the private jeep ride for comfort—worth the extra.
We went with Mountain Rock Treks as our honeymoon trip, and honestly, it was the greatest decision we could ever have made. Ramesh, our guide, was just very considerate and kind and two steps ahead of the game. He did everything he could to make sure we achieved what we set out to do.
The team really did simplify everything - our accommodation, our meals, our permits; they even changed our pace when the circumstances needed it. Our porter, Dawa, was unbelievably and unbelievably always smiling! We felt cared for and safe for the entire 10 days.
If you want a caring, locally owned company that will go above and beyond, I can say enough about how wonderful Mountain Rock Treks is. The trip of a lifetime.
The amount of satisfaction I have received from this experience is limitless. The three-pass trek was certainly the most challenging. Many thanks to Mountain Rock Treks for all their thoughtfulness and support during such a tribute to adventure. From the beginning, I recognised their interest in enjoying my happiness and fun. From beginning to end, the adventure of the three passes was more than just brave; it was exhilarating.
