Our initial plan was the usual Everest Base Camp trek, but as we arrived in Namche Bazaar, we suddenly developed a desire to explore other sides of the Khumbu valley. Our dream activity was undoubtedly the Mountain Rock Trek helicopter flight. It not only helped us save time but also enabled us to look at the unspoiled places in the Everest area before our flight back to Kathmandu. This was not only for us, but the helicopter ride was also a very good bonus to our journey.
I combined the Namobuddha-Panauti hike and an overnight hike into Balthali village with Mountain Rock Treks. After visiting the monastery, we hiked on foot, enjoyed dinner with local families, and the next day we walked to Panauti. It was an incredible cultural and educational experience that encompassed the environment, enjoyment of the local family lifestyle, and hospitality – this made for a unique mini-adventure.
I have just finished my exciting helicopter ride with Mountain Rock Treks from Namche to Kathmandu. It was a perfect way to kick off my Everest Base Camp trek. Looking down at the Himalayan peaks, I noticed the incredible scenery of snow peaks, valleys, and small villages. It slashed a huge share of that hike, saving me more time to acclimatise in Namche Bazaar before ascending to the higher altitudes. Flying with Mountain Rock Treks was a pleasant experience, thanks to the attentive staff and professional pilot. Yes, it's worth spending on if you are thinking of going to EBC in style.
Reaching Everest’s base camp was amazing, but the thought of descending scared us. We felt very tired yet satisfied, and then, by chance, we found out about the Namche to Kathmandu helicopter services of Mountain Rock Treks. This was a godsend. We avoided overrunning Lukla and two days of tiring walking. The helicopter flight was wonderful and calm, showing wonderful sights of the Himalayas that we had already crossed. A fitting climax to our history-making expedition.
The EBC trek was undoubtedly enjoyable, although it was physically taxing. When we got to Namche Bazaar, we were very excited; however, we needed some time to relax. This is where Mountain Rock Trek's helicopter ride from Namche to Kathmandu comes in handy. Instead of walking all the way through difficult terrains, we got ourselves a comfortable and luxurious chopper from where we had an opportunity to view the amazing Himalayas. It was indeed a great treat for us, considering how difficult that hiking trail was.
The wisely thought-out Itinerary by the tour operator Mountain Rock Treks is the best experience in two whole words. The guides had good information and knowledge; they shared the buildings' architectural, historical, and religious details. Adding a helicopter ride to Muktinath was my Dipak's best idea. The helicopter gave me incredible views of the Himalayas mountains, a view that could stop my heart. Undoubtedly, many thanks to Mountain Rock Treks, who didn't fail to deliver a memory that will last a lifetime for me.
This 13-day pilgrimage with Mountain Rock Treks in Nepal was truly transformative. It wasn't just sightseeing but a journey of learning, emotions, and deep connection. Lumbini left me speechless - a truly transcendent experience. Exploring Boudhanath and witnessing the Himalayas from a breathtaking viewpoint in Kathmandu added another layer of wonder. While I originally planned a Mardi Himal trek, switching to this pilgrimage proved incredible. It offered a perfect blend of spiritual exploration and breathtaking landscapes, leaving me with memories I'll cherish forever.
From airport pickups to settling the tent at the base camp, everything went according to the plan without any hitch. The guides were professional mountain climbers who were also quite entertaining, and had good tales to tell on the traditions of the people and past trips. The acclimatisation program was good too, with most of us able to cope with altitude gradually. The summit attempt was difficult but also it was fun. It has always been my ambition to reach the peak of Chulu East Peak, and at last, I did.
