The Kailash Saga Dawa Festival Tour was probably one of the best experiences I have ever had as a photographer. The splendid vistas of Mount Kailash and the vivid components of the festival brought about countless chances to take great pictures. The experienced guides brought not only safety but also shared knowledge about Tibetan customs and traditions with us, bringing me closer to the festival's heart. The tour flexibility service offered by the tour operator Mountain Rock Treks allowed me to take a short sightseeing trip to Lhasa.

The best part of Mountain Rock Treks' service was the fantastic guide. They were highly knowledgeable about Shamanism and readily took me across the cultural barriers. The way they explained things was concise and interesting, and they even managed to add a little bit of humour here and there, making learning more fun. They also treated me well and ensured I felt at ease and not deprived of support during the Shamanism tour Program. Mountain Rock Treks not only met but surpassed my expectations. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and caring for their guests unquestionably made the 3 days Shamanic experience a real enrichment.

We did a fantastic spiritual trek to the Langtang Gosainkunda a year back with Mountain Rock Treks for Janai Purnima. It was not just a hike, but the tranquillity and sanctity of Gosaikunda Lake made the walk even more meaningful. The bathing of pilgrims in the sacred water and their puja performances really impressed me. Mountain Rock Treks managed everything well, including comfortable lodges, meal guide services, etc.  Their experienced guides not only ensured our safety but also shared their knowledge about the rituals and significance of the Janai Purnima festival. We were able to participate in the celebrations alongside local pilgrims, creating a truly enriching experience that transcended the physical trek.

When my wife developed altitude sickness near Namche Bazaar, our Everest Base Camp adventure took an unexpected turn. We reached out to Mountain Rock Treks out of concern. Before long, a helicopter evacuation had been arranged to take her back to Kathmandu. The team acted very professionally, and we appreciated how they looked after her. She later on managed to recover fully from this experience. The mountain rock helicopters turned this hairy situation into a smooth and effective medical evacuation procedure.

We booked the 12-Day Everest Base Camp Trek with Mountain Rock Treks, and it was nothing short of amazing. My partner and I were first-time trekkers, so to have everything planned out for us, including acclimatization days, tea house lodges and daily briefings, made everything so easy. I struggled quite a bit coming up to Lobuche with fatigue but after some words of motivation from the guide, I caught my second wind. The porters are absolute marvels, carrying your gear with ease, I couldn’t recommend this company any higher.

We are safely back from our Annapurna Base Camp trek with Mountain Rock Treks, and we had an amazing time. The crew considered all of the details, from pre-trek meetings to arranging warm teahouses at every stop.  Our guide, Deepak, was very professional and supportive, making sure that everyone in our group acclimatized well and had an incredible experience.  The positive energy and good humor of the porters were a huge help on some of the more challenging days. 

My dream of climbing Everest Base Camp became a nightmare because I got altitude sickness during the trek. Fortunately, Mountain Rock Treks came to the rescue. The evacuation of the chopper from Namche to Kathmandu was swift and comforting. The pilot’s proficiency ensured a safe and steady landing. Their immediate response and high-quality service were my saviours for me during a stressful period. I am deeply indebted to Mountain Rock Treks for judging my health and taking me to safety.

I enjoyed the Mountain Rock Treks tour at the Changu Narayan Temple very much because the guide knew where to go and what time of day to get the detail shots of the temple while taking into consideration the local landscape. Their company timing, in addition to our group being around 8 people total, allowed our group to wander around and get our own personal photographs without other people in the frame.
