Mountain Rock Treks organized an amazing pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar. As a Bon pilgrim, it was my first time, and I appreciated the effort that had been put into not disturbing our setting with non-Bon pilgrims. Our guides were experts on both organization and spiritual matters, which enriched the journey. The overland part of the journey was made more fun by having a group and its organizers that tried to make everybody comfortable and safe while each day being exposed to new experiences. The trip was worth every penny if you are looking for both adventure and spiritual growth. It is simply beautiful. I am happy every moment I got on this trip.
After a full day of paragliding around Pokhara, I was still a little wired and looking for a different kind of aerial experience, so I booked a hot air balloon flight with Mountain Rock Treks. Floating quietly in the air was an entirely different sensation from all of the activity before. It was great to go with a team of experienced professionals, who provided outstanding service, and to see the Annapurna range and Fishtail mountain from above. Absolutely stunning.
I was only in Kathmandu for a short time so I made a half-day tour. I could not have been happier. Mountain Rock Treks made it easy. From the 5-star hospitality I received when being picked up from my hotel to being dropped off at our hotel, Mountain Rock Treks had it all. The guide, using his narrative, made the old temples, and moving about a busy city a little more magical. The air conditioning, on the transportation provided, was a blessing.
We booked a small group, from Lhasa to Everest tour, with great luck with Mountain Rock Treks. Guide Rooney was friendly and approachable, and always checked with each traveller, especially those who were struggling more with altitude. He was very respectful of all religious and historical details.
Trekking to the Himalayas has always been something I have wanted to do for a long time. But, since I have a limited time in Nepal, I did not think it was possible for me to complete the Manaluc fruit trek. But I am acors this package by Mountain Rock Treks, which offers to complete the trek in just nine days
. This trek was a dream come true since I've long been captivated by the allure of the Himalayas. I chose this trek for its pristine beauty and short time frame compared to the crowded Annapurna and Everest Base Camp routes. I'm eager to return for another trek in this enchanting region, which has left an indelible mark on my heart, with Mountain Rock Treks in the future.
We booked a group helicopter flight from Gorakshep to Kathmandu for a family of four travelling together. Mountain Rock Treks offered us a competitive group rate as a large group, and handled all aspects of the organization including our excess luggage!.
The children loved the experience and the staff ensured that we were comfortable at all times. This was a great way to end our combined family adventure in the Himalayas.
I picked a tour that included a tour of Jokhang Temple and a hike to Barkhor Street. What a delight that we would be arriving during a local festival. Our guide, Tenzin, was very helpful in describing the ritual that we were observing and gave us an opportunity to be participants in a mask dance.
I found the company on a travel forum, and I believe they substantially enhanced my local experience.
The Chandragiri Day Tour by Mountain Rock Treks was truly memorable. Our guide shared insightful stories about the Temple and Kathmandu history and pointed out stunning Himalayan vistas, from Langtang to Everest. .We upgraded the trip with a forest trail hike before boarding the cable car, which added a peaceful nature segment. The team handled transportation, tickets, and lunch effortlessly. Everything was well-paced, informative, and fun—our group felt pampered yet free to explore. A wonderful mix of adventure, culture, and breathtaking views.
