The guide, using his narrative, made the old temples, and moving about a busy city a little more magical. The air conditioning, on the transportation provided, was a blessing.

Guide Rooney was friendly and approachable, and always checked with each traveller, especially those who were struggling more with altitude. He was very respectful of all religious and historical details.

As an art lover, I was really pleased with the focus Mountain Rock Treks placed on traditional crafts and architecture. Also, I absolutely loved visiting woodcarving workshops and the many different types of metal artisans you can find in Patan. The Guide provided a tremendous amount of information and context - the cultural symbolism behind the types of art, as well as their commitment to, and passion for, their culture, were great parts of the trip.
