I had a lovely, half-day Kathmandu tour with Mountain Rock Treks. Our guide was friendly and incredibly patient as we asked him a million questions, and he always answered cheerfully.
You could also tell that it is a well run, professional company, they were on time and had many little perks in their service that were personal.

I booked my flight to Lukla months ahead with Mountain Rock Treks. I was only booking a ticket, but they provided me advice for acclimatization and packing. Their support in the pre-trek advice and booking of the flight made me feel confident and relaxed before starting my trek to Everest Base Camp.
We reached EBC successfully but felt our legs aching. We were not prepared at all for the walk back. This is when Mountain Rock Trek's Namche to Kathmandu helicopter flight came to our rescue. We avoided the Lukla flight stress and saved two days on the trail. The helicopter ride was amazing; it was like a luxurious way to enjoy the scenic view of Mount Everest from above. The entire adventure was made easier by the company - Mountain Rock Treks.
I had an amazing time on the Luxury Everest View Trek with Mountain Rock Treks. This trek had it all – breathtaking views and total luxury. Our guide, Amrit, was so warm and made every step of our journey fun. My favorite part was staying at Hotel Everest View – waking up to a full view of Mt Everest every morning was simply magical. We had plenty of time each day to take in the scenery at our own pace, and I never felt rushed. Everything from the flight to Lukla, to our well planned meals were taken care of for us by Mountain Rock Treks. I would highly recommend them if you want a trek that takes it to another level.
Our initial plan was the usual Everest Base Camp trek, but as we arrived in Namche Bazaar, we suddenly developed a desire to explore other sides of the Khumbu valley. Our dream activity was undoubtedly the Mountain Rock Trek helicopter flight. It not only helped us save time but also enabled us to look at the unspoiled places in the Everest area before our flight back to Kathmandu. This was not only for us, but the helicopter ride was also a very good bonus to our journey.
I combined the Namobuddha-Panauti hike and an overnight hike into Balthali village with Mountain Rock Treks. After visiting the monastery, we hiked on foot, enjoyed dinner with local families, and the next day we walked to Panauti. It was an incredible cultural and educational experience that encompassed the environment, enjoyment of the local family lifestyle, and hospitality – this made for a unique mini-adventure.
I have just finished my exciting helicopter ride with Mountain Rock Treks from Namche to Kathmandu. It was a perfect way to kick off my Everest Base Camp trek. Looking down at the Himalayan peaks, I noticed the incredible scenery of snow peaks, valleys, and small villages. It slashed a huge share of that hike, saving me more time to acclimatise in Namche Bazaar before ascending to the higher altitudes. Flying with Mountain Rock Treks was a pleasant experience, thanks to the attentive staff and professional pilot. Yes, it's worth spending on if you are thinking of going to EBC in style.
