As an art lover, I was really pleased with the focus Mountain Rock Treks placed on traditional crafts and architecture. Also, I absolutely loved visiting woodcarving workshops and the many different types of metal artisans you can find in Patan. The Guide provided a tremendous amount of information and context - the cultural symbolism behind the types of art, as well as their commitment to, and passion for, their culture, were great parts of the trip.

I recently joined the Pokhara Valley tour taken by Mountain Rock Treks, which was just magical from start to finish. The sunrise view at Sarangkot was worth seeing, and the day came to a perfect close while peacefully rowing the boat in Phewa Lake. Professional staff and well-organised every part of the trip, from transportation to accommodation. Davis Falls and the peaceful World Peace Pagoda were especially impressive. Phaplu to Everest Base Camp Trek with them was everything I expected and more. Since it’s a long base camp trek 16 days), it felt reasonably priced. It looked well organized on their website, so there were no reasons not to book. We had 10 people going, all of us around my age (28), which made the trip even better. Hiking was fun indeed. Whether targeting Everest or other peaks in Nepal and Tibet, Mountain Rock Treks is highly recommended for professionalism, taking climber success and safety seriously.

Trekking in the peak season always comes with a certain degree of uncertainty, and we faced some problems before starting the Everest Base Camp trek when the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla was cancelled for two days. Thankfully, Mountain Rock Treks offered a solution: the Ramechhap – Lukla flight. Despite this change, which affected the initial plan, the professionalism of Mountain Rock Treks resolved it. As for the flight changes, they did a great job rebooking us and always provided updates. The flight to Ramechhap was a way to get to Lukla and a short sightseeing tour. 

The flight from Ramechhap to Lukla with Mountain Rock Treks was a memory. We were soaring high above the great Himalayan range; the gigantic mountain chains and flat valleys were already far below and looked magnificent. Mountain Rock Treks ensured all these aspects professionally and made our journey hassle-free. It was very smooth when we thought of booking the flight when we boarded the plane. The flight was creatively adventurous, and this was the first glimpse of what we would encounter throughout the adventure.
