Our family of four took the 13-day Hindu pilgrimage tour with Mountain Rock Treks. My Boyfriend and I Landed in Nepal on 23rd September 2023. We wanted to book the Everest helicopter tour with a landing at Kala Patthar. As we were going to book it with one travel agency in Nepal, we found out that the Everest helicopter tour with landing at Kala Patthar does not operate as of 2023 because of the new restrictions by CAAN.

This tour company had no alternatives to the Everest helicopter tour, so we did our research and found that this company, Mountain Rock Treks, recently introduced an alternative to the Everest helicopter tour and landing at Kala Patthar, i.e., helicopter tour and landing at Hotel Everest view. We thought about this and booked our Journey with MRT on 25th September. We did have a doubt at first, but this tour was indeed a good experience, as they explained. On this excursion, we landed at Hotel Everest View and had a delicious breakfast among the Himalayas and in front of Mt Everest itself. This tour was indeed a unique experience and all thanks to Mountain Rock Treks for their unwavering support from the start of your journey. 

Starting this short luxury journey to Everest in winter was like a dream. Faced with difficult conditions in the beginning for planning the Everest View trek, Deepak rightly redirected me. The luxury accommodations offered unmatched warmth and ensured a comfortable hideaway during winter’s frost. Top of the list was the perfectly coordinated helicopter transfers – a real innovation during winter months. Efficient logistics and thoughtful planning allowed me to enjoy stunning views without sacrificing comfort. Kudos to the team for their adaptability and professional advice, as they transformed what could be a logistical nightmare into an ultimate winter adventure in the Everest region.

As a solo trekker, Mountain Rock arranged for a shared jeep with 4 other trekkers (there was room for one more). The jeep was suitable for everyone all at once, and we all were very excited as we all were stepping into adventure and bonded immediately - we're still trek partners! The drivers especially did a great job of getting us on time for meal breaks at all the local dhabas with fresh steaming dal bhat. The trip on the road was excellent, so I could acclimatize slowly, and I was feeling much stronger and in a better place to start the trek from Surkhe than many of my friends who flew to Lukla. I had fun with my hired porters and guides, as expected. This is the best alternative offered to the Lukla flight. 

The 15-day Manaslu Circuit Trek with Mountain Rock Treks was an unforgettable journey. Every step of the trek was well worth it, offering the right combination of challenge and reward. Mountain Rock Treks organised and prepared everything meticulously to make the journey successful. As for the trek, it was marvellous: the team succeeded in both providing safety and enjoyment. The panoramic views and cultural exposure on this hike offered a well-rounded experience. Bravo to Mountain Rock Treks for designing a unique journey in the core of Nepal’s glorious Manaslu region. 

I have just completed the Ama Dablam Base Camp trek with Mountain Rock Treks, and it was everything I had dreamed of. Plus, I made it to Everest Base Camp and to the top of Kala Patthar, too, which I found to be a massive personal achievement. The guides were not only professional but were also fantastic at keeping us safe, motivated and acclimatized. The view of Ama Dablam from the base camp was breathtaking, and seeing the sun rise over Everest on Kala Patthar was an experience that will stay with me forever. All of the logistics were perfectly managed, and even when things got tough, the team ensured we were as comfortable as possible. If you want an unforgettable adventure with brilliant support and organization then Mountain Rock Treks is definitely for you.

When you only have limited days of vacation, the absolute last thing you want to do is plan all your adventures. I wanted to experience a variety of things during my travels to Bhutan, and you provided a flexible, planned itinerary that allowed us to get more than just the highlights of both destinations within a short visit.

In addition, they were always connected and replied to my e-mails or questions promptly, even late at night, and coordinated with all the local guides, transportation, and even all the other logistics and details that made our adventure simple and meaningful.
