Kathmandu to Lukla by helicopter flight was a good decision. Instead of discomfort, I chose a helicopter ride, which happily helped me quickly reach the starting point of my Everest Base Camp trek. The thrilling aerial views of landscapes in Nepal added an exciting twist to the adventure. The convenience and beauty that exceeded my expectations were the preface to an epic trekking journey. Mountain Rock Treks provided a comfortable and pleasurable flight, which created the perfect beginning to the trip of a lifetime. It is very much recommended for lovers of both comfort and breathtaking panoramas.
Our Kathmandu with Mountain Rock Treks and Muktinath Heli was a great mix of cultural exploration and personal spirituality. I experienced the highest level of service, which made the whole process easy for me, from inquiry to completion. We visited the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu, such as Boudhanath Stupa and the ancient Durbar Square. Our group was taken around and guided by well-informed guides who further explained the Hindu religion and the various cultural ways of life, which deepened our spiritual experience. Honestly, I couldn't remember any other adventure of my journey that made me feel as thrilled as the helicopter ride to Muktinath. Thanks to the tour operator for the best services provided.
My hiking to Gosaikunda Via Langtang area with Mountain Rock Treks was above all my expectations and made me extremely happy. The well-maintained trails were clearly visible, from the forest under rhododendron trees to the high alpine meadows was great. The Mountain Rock treks had highly skilled guides familiar with our safety and the right trekking pace to ease the acclimatisation process. For me, this trek is a magnificent journey that anyone can choose if they want an exhilarating, beautiful climb with a great meaning.
As a solo traveler, I had about 12 hours before flight home so I chose the 6-hour city tour. Since the group was small, it gave me a good chance to ask questions and get more immersed in the local culture.
It is very easy to identify the important spiritual and cultural sites in Kathmandu in a short amount of time due to the knowledgeable tour guide.
Having completed my trek, I was looking for a short and nice hike. I opted for this hike to Champadevi with Mountain Rock Treks and felt their price was competitive with other operators. The hike was very nice as we went through small forests to the temple and had some good views on the way. Our guide had a good personality and knowledge of the area.
After returning from my trek to Everest base camp, I wanted to delve into more of Nepal's cultural heritage and simply contacted Mountain Rock Treks to arrange a visit to Patan Durbar Square. The artisan villages and the old palaces were really interesting, and I learned a lot about Nepali history as well. It was also a very professional and organized company, so I had no issues whatsoever.
Our organizer, Dipak Pandey, managed a perfect balance of adventure and acclimatization with a really well-worked-out itinerary. But it wasn’t just about the landscapes - the Sherpa villages, their culture and warm hospitality are truly enriching. The people looking after us were extremely professional and made sure we were well looked after, safe and comfortable. Climbing Gokyo Ri was my small personal achievement, but when I saw the sunshine on the spindly Everest peak spill over the nearby massive Cho Oyu at sunrise the next morning, I knew every step had been worth it in her stride. If you want to sample what nature has the best offer in the Himalayas, along with a great cultural extravaganza, choose the Gokyo trek with Mountain Rock Treks.
The 3-day itinerary provided enough physical activity to enjoy the scenery while allowing ample time to soak in the breathtaking views of sunrise and sunset. The clear communication from our guides made the experience even more enjoyable, ensuring we felt safe and informed throughout the trek. Both Nagarkot and Chisapani offered unique experiences, with Nagarkot's sunrise views and Chisapani's peaceful ambiance leaving a lasting impression. This trek was worth the time and effort, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a well-rounded adventure in the Himalayas.
