I don't think it gets much better than this if you enjoy touring Buddhist temples and other landmarks. Due to the presence of the birthplace temple of the Buddha in this region, it appears that many nations have constructed monasteries here. Lumbini probably had over a dozen visitors from countries like China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, France, Germany, and even one person specifically mentioned the United States. Lumbini in Nepal is the best of all. During my travels in Nepal, I became friends with the owner of my tour company, Deepak, and he planned my 8-day trip to Lumbini. Hence, I was fortunate to receive some.

Our ascent to Machermo Peak was genuinely unforgettable. Right from the beginning until the end, every aspect of the journey was expertly managed. The flag-changing ceremony was the most special part of the festival, allowing me to closely see the Tibetans, their culture, and the festival. As a photography enthusiast, the Nar Phu and Tilicho Lake Trek with Mountain Rock Treks exceeded all my expectations. The surreal landscapes, dramatic mountain ranges, and vibrant culture provided endless opportunities for breathtaking shots. The journey through the Nar Phu Valley felt like stepping back in time, and the panoramic views from Kang La Pass were simply spellbinding. Our guide's expertise and understanding of the region were invaluable. 

Lumbini, The birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, is the location of Buddha's birth. No location in the world is more spiritual than this. It's simply a spot—full of Hindus and Buddhists. You'll realise this very quickly as soon as you reach here. Honestly, my husband and I only spent around 8 days in Lumbini. However, we don't these days we do not feel enough to appreciate this place's vibe fully. We also did a tour around the nearby temples during the Lumbini Buddhist Circuit Tour, all organised by Mountain Rock Treks.

The mountains themselves were indescribable, developing a unique connection between us as we relied on each other, the air we breathed, and the majestic peaks. I deeply thank Deepak and Dawa, our guides, who presented kindness, unwavering support, humor, and resourcefulness. 

After the fantastic trek to Everest Base Camp, we decided to take the return flight by helicopter from Lukla back to Kathmandu, and it was simply great. An amazing flight to get a view above the mountains where we had been hiking. We felt relieved and thrilled while flying back into town. Mountain Rock Treks made our booking perfectly, so everything went well. That was a royal treatment compared to an ordinary flight, and it gave me an excellent opportunity to see the beauty of the Himalayas for one last time. Highly recommended. Returning from Lukla to Kathmandu by helicopter after the Everest Base Camp trek was a game changer.
