It was a fantastic experience because the sun shone and the mountains were clear. I wanted to see Mount Everest, and I got my wish. Each of us had a visit from the air hostess, who informed us of the mountains we were viewing and ensured we all had excellent views.
My unexpected find was Mountain Rock Trekʼs free walking tour. The guide was super friendly, funny, informative and made us feel interesting at each stop. They provided us with free bottled water and made sure we were comfortable throughout the walk.
Because the size of the group was limited, I felt that it was very personal, and I could ask the guide any question that I had. The service they provided made it fun and easy while I unwrapped the hidden treasures of Kathmandu.
After a busy day touring the city of Kathmandu, I wanted some fresh air and nature, so I went with Mountain Rock Treks to hike from Nagarkot to Changu Narayan.
The easy downhill route was peaceful, and we were lucky to visit and spend time at the Changu Narayan temple - a UNESCO world heritage site that was the cultural cherry on the top of the cake at the end of my trip.
The day was extremely well planned by Mountain Rock Treks, and they provided non-intrusive transportation - a diplomatic, comfortable, and memorable public day out.
We had four of our family on a great flight from Lukla to Kathmandu by Mountain Rock Treks. The kids were exhausted from days of walking, and we detested the waiting time for so long for a regular flight. Helicopter flight was heaven—it was fast, cozy, and divine scenery. The staff treated us with courtesy, and we received snippets and pieces of the history of the Himalayan mountains from the pilot who had the children over the moon. We arrived in Kathmandu an hour before the crowds and chaos. This was the perfect ending to our trek, and I would highly recommend this service to families requiring comfort and dependability after a trek.
I had a great time in Pokhara and Kathmandu after finishing my Everest Base Camp Trek. I had no idea when the day for my helicopter tour had finally arrived. I took the Upper Mustang Helicopter Tour in order to explore the forbidden region of Nepal and its lovable culture and religion. I was incredibly enthusiastic at that specific time. Since I was so high in the air, everything appeared to be very small, and the surroundings were absolutely stunning. We arrived at upper Mustang at last. We took a ton of pictures and videos and brought back a ton of memories. The village was amazing and had Tibetan culture.
I had some time before my flight to connect with my next flight, and Mountain Rock Treks did a great job accommodating that by maximizing my time on their 6-hour city tour. I can't believe how they were able to plan an itinerary with all of the main sites and sights to see, and do so without rushing through any of it either.
They picked me up on time, and then they dropped me off again with no stress of time, which is nice for the person traveling who doesn't have a lot of time but wants to experience the great highlights of Kathmandu.
As a solo traveller, I was apprehensive about connecting with a group on such an obscure climb. I came across Mountain Rock Treks online, and they linked me with a small, friendly group. The guide managed all of the permitting, logistics, and gear/acclimatization brilliantly. The combination of culture, wildlife, and mountain landscape is indescribable and a must-do as a solo traveller.
We selected Everest View Trekking with Mountain Rock Treks partly because we wanted a family experience that was not as challenging as a full trek. Still, most importantly, I wanted my elderly mother to see Mt. Everest, and this is the easiest way to get there without flying. It did not disappoint. Everything was handled for us, and if you have any special requests (as we did), they are happy to work you into the schedule. The Guide made sure our experience was smooth and adjusted our trip as needed along the way. Some of the best parts were in Namche Bazaar and just hanging out with locals/viewing from Everest View Hotel/Accommodations/food was better than expected, and there was no stress at all with the team.
