Best season for Nepal Luxury Tour

As for the season for this tour, there is no specific season. This can be done throughout the year. Spring and autumn are always highly recommended as nature adds to their beauty. Winter is not suitable for all travelers due to the extreme cold but traveling in winter has its purpose. Monsoon is not suggested because in the rain we won't be able to travel safely as well as what is seen in spring, winter, and autumn are found in the rainy season, and we won't be able to enjoy our journey thoroughly.

Jungle Activities in Chitwan

Chitwan boasts a culture and scenery vastly different from what we usually see in the Himalayan. That being said, Chitwan offers you various activities like a jungle, water, and cultural activities. You will visit Chitwan after Pokhara on the 3rd day of your tour. Therefore some jungle activities you consider participating in are as follows.

Bird Watching

Chitwan National Park is a haven for bird enthusiasts as it boasts an impressive array of over 600 avian species. Among them, you'll encounter the captivating Black-chinned yuhina, vibrant blossom-headed parakeet, elusive swamp francolin, elegant Grey-crowned Prinia, majestic eagles, colorful peafowl, spirited jungle fowl, and melodious slender-billed babblers.

This sanctuary also contains some endangered birds for you to watch, like the Bengal Florican, Slender-billed Vulture, White-rumped Vulture, Red-headed Vulture, and Kashmir Flycatcher.

Jungle Safari

A Jungle safari is the next best thing for you among the jungle activities.

Jeep Safari in Chitwan offers an excellent opportunity to explore Nepal's first national park and observe its wildlife up close while ensuring your safety.

During your jungle safari, you will travel in an open jeep as you venture deep into the forests, where you can witness various animals roaming, grazing, and sprinting through their natural habitat. Whenever your jeep driver spots an animal along the ride, they will halt the jeep, allowing you to observe leisurely and capture memorable photographs.

Wooden canoe riding

For this, you will ride in the hand-carved wooden canoe, where you can encounter various crocodile species, including the elusive gharial crocodile with its piscivorous tendencies and the formidable marsh mugger. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to marvel at multiple avian species. Opting for this through canoeing presenters, a brief excursion presents the ideal chance to witness various aquatic wildlife and admire the picturesque scenery along the riverbanks. Indulge in an enchanting exploration of the beautiful forest rivers, namely the Budhi Rapti River or the Narayani River.

Enjoy Tharu Cultural Program

One of the most popular activities here is enjoying the cultural programs. In the captivating world of Tharu Culture, Sauraha and Meghauli eagerly await your presence. Delight in an hour to two-hour-long spectacle specially curated to entertain and acquaint tourists with the rich traditions and customs of the Tharu people. Prepare to be mesmerized by their vibrant dances and melodious music, including the renowned Danda (Stick), Ago (Fire), and Mayur (Peacock) Dances, each exuding its distinctive charm. The locals, adorned in striking traditional attire, will showcase this cultural extravaganza, setting them apart from the ordinary customs observed throughout Nepal. These extraordinary experiences are bound to captivate any outsider.

Elephant Safari

One not to miss jungle activity here is Elephant Safari. This activity is so popular here that it has its own slogan, "Visiitwan, Ride Elephants."

Elephant safaris are the most popular as it is a daring method to closely encounter wild animals and rare ones like one-horned rhinos and elusive Royal Bengal Tigers. In addition, you can also watch various birds, both rare and endangered ones, and various reptiles that are still protected in the area of Chitwan national park.

Visit Elephant Breeding Center

Experience the wonders of Chitwan National Park, where you'll discover an extraordinary elephant breeding center that captivates visitors from around the globe. Established in 1985, this sanctuary is dedicated to safeguarding these endangered creatures. Likewise, witness the heartwarming scenes of female Asian elephants nurturing their offspring, an enchanting sight that will leave you yearning to prolong your stay.

Visit Crocodile Breeding Centre

In addition, a trip to Chitwan National Park offers the opportunity to explore the Crocodile Breeding Center nestled in Kasara. This center, founded in 1978, serves as a haven for preserving the endangered Gharial species. Among the highlights of your visit are the majestic Mugger crocodile and the elusive Gharial crocodile, both rare and awe-inspiring creatures that call this breeding center home

Jungle/ Nature Walk

Chitwan National Park offers a thrilling experience with its jungle/nature walk. Exploring the dense forest and immersing oneself in the natural habitat of wild animals is both adventurous and captivating. Moreover, during the walk, neither the tourists nor the guides are allowed to carry weapons, but the guides provide safety tips before embarking on the journey.

Bath With Elephant

Another exhilarating activity in Sauraha is elephant bathing. Tourists can engage in this exciting entertainment, interacting with elephants and even plunging into the river from the elephant's back while it bathes. Witnessing the playful interaction between elephants and humans is equally delightful. Likewise, the elephant bath sparks friendly competition among tourists to capture the perfect photograph of these bathing giants. Occasionally, following instructions, the elephants may gently toss riders into the water, adding an extra element of excitement. The elephant bath is undeniably one of the main attractions of Sauraha.

Note:- The jungle safari mentioned above are all half-day group safaris. However, if you are interested in full-day and private safaris, we can arrange them for you at an additional and affordable cost.
