I've just returned from a lovely 26-day trek with Mountain Rock in the Upper Dolpo. We had been planning this expedition with our group of five pals for a very long time. We learned about Shey Phoksundo's remoteness and breathtaking surroundings from one of our friends who visited there in 2015. Flying from Kathmandu and then traveling to the most distant location in Nepal was a fantastic adventure. We became aware that some areas are still unaffected by development even in this century thanks to the tiny local communities and way of life of the people in the area around Upper Dolpo. With Mountain Rock and its services, I had one of the best vacations. I urge everyone to go on an Upper Dolpo trip at least once in their lives.
The Himalayas have always fascinated me, and the Mera Peak and Ski Back Expedition Package was the perfect way to explore this incredible region. The well-planned trip included all the equipment and support we needed to succeed. The climb up Mera Peak was tough, but the views from the top were stunning. Skiing back down the mountain was a thrilling experience and a great way to end the trip on a high note. Overall, I would highly recommend this package to anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to experience the beauty of the Himalayas firsthand.
After a disappointing experience with a highly-rated company, I looked beyond Tripadvisor and discovered Mountain Rock Treks while researching the Everest Base Camp trek. Though they had no reviews, their prompt response and reasonable cost convinced me to choose them. It turned out to be a fantastic decision. The company provided excellent guides, porters, and support throughout the trek, making it a memorable achievement. While online reviews can be dubious, I wholeheartedly recommend Base Camp Excursion as the go-to trekking company for Everest Base Camp.
I'm happy to say that I completed the Dolpo hike. I had no idea what to do, so when Mountain Rock suggested that I take this excursion based on my interest, I naively trusted them with the tour. And I might add that I got that right. My tour guide was knowledgeable and attentive to my needs and general well-being. From the moment I was welcomed with open arms at the airport until I returned home, everything exceeded my expectations. When I try to express my gratitude for the generous hospitality they extended to me, words fail. I'd like to thank the team outside. I'll return shortly to make another journey of this nature.
Experiencing the majestic Himalayas in person was an absolute dream come true. Our choice of Langtang was deliberate, as we were eager to immerse ourselves in this rural region's rich heritage of the Tamang and Sherpa communities. These resilient people are renowned for their mountaineering feats; meeting them in person was an awe-inspiring experience. Their dedication and hard work are truly admirable. The highlight of our adventure was undoubtedly the helicopter flight back. It gave us the unique opportunity to explore Langtang both on foot and from the skies.
Gokyo with Everest Base Camp trek went well with Mountain Rock Treks and its team. The budget stay was satisfactory, but the trip plan was simply outstanding. I completed the Everest trek without any difficulty. Being a beginner with no altitude sickness is unusual, but the trip plan was well-researched so that I could accomplish it. So far, so good. Keep up the good work, guys.
Gokyo – Everest Base Camp trek is an excellent trek that is distinct from ABC. Less crowded, but with constantly changing views. The lakes, glaciers, and Everest views are all highlights. The views from the summit of Gokyo Ri are spectacular. I am only a moderately fit walker and had no issues during the trek.
This trip had it all: the nicest scenery, the calm lake, the pastoral pasturelands, the passes, the atmosphere, the locals, the lovely communities, the remoteness, the rain shadow area, and the office employees. I advise all tourists to go to Upper Dolpa at least once for the camping trek.
