Our family of four (parents and two teenagers) was initially worried about this day tour. However, Mountain Rock Treks' UNESCO tour was the perfect mix of cultural exploration and family fun. Our guide, Mr. Ram, was a master at engaging all age groups. The itinerary was thoughtfully curated, offering enough historical information to satisfy our curiosity without overwhelming the kids. We explored grand temples like Swayambhunath, marvelled at the intricate carvings of Patan Durbar Square, and even witnessed the death rituals at the Cremation site.
Mountain Rock Treks provided great service in arranging my Champadevi Day Hike. Their price was competitive with the other companies that I found. The hike was nice to be out of the city and have a break from it, we had great mountain views and made a few stops for some cultural/historical sites on the way.
Our route was thoughtful, and we visited all the major pilgrimage sites without haste. Our B&B was a clean and cosy place to stay, which provided a restful haven after each day of trekking. Indeed, it was still the staff of the Mountain Rock Treks that had a much greater influence on the experience. They were also caring and attentive to us and our needs, and they were always ready to keep things safe and effectively answer all the questions asked. The vegetarian meals that suited my dietary requirements and the vans that were for the Hiace class provided a smooth ride to each destination.
We chose to go from Namche to Kathmandu by helicopter once we had completed our way to the Everest Base Camp. It was on Mountain Rock Treks that we could count for the smoothest experience. Not only did this save us two days by avoiding the Lukla flight drama, but it also allowed us extra time back in Kathmandu. During the flight, we were soaring high above the Himalayas, which offered us an opportunity to watch the fantastic landscapes of the Everest region. It’s just an awesome final touch for our trip.
I recently returned from the Luxury Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Mountain Rock Treks, and I can honestly say it was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.
From the moment I landed in Kathmandu, Dipak was there to greet me with warmth and professionalism. Every detail — from airport transfers and hotel stays to permits and daily logistics — was flawlessly organized. I felt completely at ease and well cared for, which allowed me to fully enjoy the beauty of the journey.
The trek itself was absolutely stunning. Every day brought something new — from lush rhododendron forests and traditional Gurung villages to sweeping mountain views and peaceful valleys. Standing at Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks, was truly magical and emotional.
What really elevated this experience was the luxury component. The lodges we stayed in along the route were the best available — warm, clean, and comfortable, often with en-suite bathrooms and hot showers (a rare treat at this altitude!). The food was delicious and plentiful, and the hospitality from the lodge staff made every stop feel special.
Our guide was outstanding — knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the region. He made sure we were always safe, comfortable, and informed. The porters were also incredible — kind, strong, and always smiling, even after long days of carrying our bags through the hills.
This was not just a trek — it was a thoughtfully curated experience that combined natural beauty, cultural richness, and exceptional comfort. If you’re looking to experience the Himalayas without compromising on quality or care, I wholeheartedly recommend Mountain Rock Treks. They turned a dream adventure into something even more meaningful.
Thank you for making my time in Nepal so special. I’ll definitely be back — and with Mountain Rock again!
When I travel solo, I always worry about being the only person on group tours. Surprisingly, the UNESCO tour of Mountain Rock Treks was entirely different. We got a family-like atmosphere, as the group members were small (only 8 of us). Our guide, Dipak, was a gem. He was incredibly knowledgeable about each site. The itinerary was well planned, perfectly balancing cultural immersion and personal exploration. We visited all the iconic sites, from the majestic Swayambhunath Stupa to the serene Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest stupas in Nepal.
My recent four-day Chisapani Nagarkot Dhulikhel Hike with Mountain Rock treks has surpassed my imagination. It was easy to reach out to them through Instagram, and the booking process went smoothly. Our Guide could speak impeccable English, making the communication and completing the reservation a walkover. They were very professional, as they quickly came and collected me at the hotel where I stayed.
The weather did not make the journey comfortable. However, the team ensured that my experience would run smoothly, and I was lucky to glimpse the breathtaking Annapurna mountain range. Dawa, my Guide, and Deepak, the company's owner, provided valuable information regarding his business, trekking experiences, and the mountains.
It was also a great hike travelling through local villages, with children playing, adding more charm. I strongly advise booking Mountain Rock Treks for well-informed tours or trekking expeditions within Nepal; they never fall short of expectations.
I discovered Mountain Rock Treks after asking other trekkers about their hikes and decided to do a tour of the Patan Dubar Square area with one of these tours. I found the Guide very enthusiastic about the culture and heritage of Patan, and being part of a small group made the visit to the many sites much more personal. It might be hard to believe, but it would be nearly impossible to find a company with a person more honest and trustworthy to work with, with local knowledge so detailed and thorough.
