I appreciated having a local guide to give it context at the heritage sites and then enjoyed visiting and experiencing organic, authentic local markets.
Walking through Asan Tole and Indra Chowk our guide shared how glass bead shops formed from the traditional bazaars, being a small group ensured I had plenty of opportunities for questions and being interactive. A fantastic way to resonate, and understand Kathmandu.
Being a devotee of Shiva taking the Kailash Saga Dawa Festival with Mountain Rock Treks in 2025 has almost changed my dreams into a reality. It was spiritual and very well coordinated. As we arrived at the Tibet border, the magnificence of the mountains engulfed me, and I took the deepest breath. The rituals and the vibe I witnessed during the yearly Saga Dawa at Tarboche is a scene that will stay with me until the end of my life. Mount Kailash kora was hard but worth it. Mountain Rock Treks was the perfect choice since their guides were excellent in terms of the spiritual and historical dimensions of the region.
After my trek of the Annapurna Circuit, I did the Champadevi day hike. The trek was strenuous, but the forest and scenery that we went through were extraordinary, and the valley views from the top were unreal. Mountain Rock Treks was affordable and cheaper than the other companies I was considering. The Guide who led the experience was professional, created unforgettable moments, and was incredibly generous.
Our three-pass trek began in October 2022, and it was simply incredible... and of course, it was lots of hard work. We had incredibly beautiful scenery with variable distances and vertical ascent and descent variations. Since we began with the Thorong La pass, which by name is the most difficult, we had momentum going into the further epic trek of the following days. Walking in snow for a couple of days while going near the tops of some of the passes was exhilarating, and then, of course, the descent on ice was a wholly different slippery adventure.
I did trekking all around the world, among them Gokyo lake trek with renjo la pass is one of the best trekking. I have been in this trek in winter, it is extremely cold but still, you can do it. My guide lakpa has a lot of experience of the Himalayas and mountains. Mountain rock treks and expeditions have sensible in their duties. I am really happy with their services. definitely next time I will upper mustang trek with them. have a nice and good time on Mountain Rock Treks And Expedition.
I just returned from doing the Budget Everest Base Camp Trek with a helicopter flyout with Mountain Rock Treks, and it was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Ram, was great-, always there if we needed anything and so knowledgeable. He really made our trek safe and enjoyable! The trek itself was beautiful- lots of great views of towering peaks/ vibrant Sherpa villages. But the helicopter ride back to Kathmandu was definitely the highlight. It felt like I had won a sweepstakes prize. So lucky that we flew RIGHT over EBC as well as some other famous landmarks in the region. Unbeatable perspective/view of these beautiful landscapes and mountains.
What a fabulous day exploring the sights in Pokhara and then ascending in a hot air balloon with Mountain Rock Treks. The service was great, there were no hiccups in any of the transitions, and the pilot was very seasoned. Overall, I felt very safe and relaxed the entire time. Definitely recommend, and if you want to see a different perspective of the beauty that is Nepal, then book this experience.
Among the several treks in Nepal, Annapurna always looks pretty. I had been Annapurna circuit in 2011 on the occasion of Nepal tourism year, which was one of the most memorable trips. This time I did Tilicho lake, which is Gorgeous. Guide and potters from mountain Rock treks are excellent.
