I recently finished a 9-day itinerary to the Royal Trek, and it exceeded my expectations in every way! Dipak at Mountain Rock Treks did a great job of organizing everything, communicating everything to us clearly, and answering our queries prior to departure. Gopal, our tour guide, was also quite approachable and, by the time the trip was over, had developed into a close friend. We also had a great time on our day trip to Kathmandu. Seeing the stunning Himalayas, lakes, cultures, and people was wonderful.

The trip was my "dream trip" to see the mountains of Nepal and the monasteries of Bhutan. Mountain Rock Treks organized the visits to the World Heritage sites in Kathmandu with organized visits to the breathtaking Paro Valley and Tiger's Nest in Bhutan. Both of our guides were very entertaining and told local stories and fun jokes.

We had planned to trek all the way to Tilicho Lake, but due to hearing about the difficult terrain, we decided to take a jeep ride for some part of our journey. What a decision it was. The off-road drive itself was an adventure that took us through rocky trails and river crossings. We had a highly skilled driver who made this impossible road feel so easy (In fact, he is one of the best Jeep drivers we have ever seen). Everything was perfectly scheduled by Mountain Rock Treks - right from permits to accommodations. After reaching Tilicho, when you see that magical blue lake against snowy peaks, all your tiredness is paid off. If you love getting some adventure & thrill along with trekking, this is the thing for you. 

The Upper Dolpo region's trekking route is stunning and difficult. I chose Mountain Rock to guide my friends and me to this area at the end of March. For all of us, staying in teahouses while on the trekking trail was a wonderful experience. At the teahouses, we received excellent care, delicious food, and cozy accommodations. This route will take your breath away with its beauty and serenity if trekking or hiking fills your heart. I appreciate everything. 

 

Standing at Yalung Base Camp, gazing up at the glacier-carpeted wall of Kanchenjunga was the most affecting moment of my life. And the Mountain Rock Treks team were amazing, so professional, friendly and really experienced. 

I arrived in Kathmandu with little preparation and wanted to climb Larke Peak.  When I emailed Mountain Rock Treks, they responded incredibly fast and organised all the necessary permits and equipment for the climb.

The guide's knowledge of the trek, as well as his local experience, encouragement and just the fact he has climbed thousands of peaks before, got me to the summit despite being nervous. Their flexibility and fast service make it easy. One of the best experiences I've had.

I was looking for a trekking experience and a mountaineering experience when I booked the Manaslu Circuit and Larke Peak. Mountain Rock Treks coordinated everything perfectly and organised a cultural village visit as well as located wildlife.  The transition from trek to technical climbing was seamless, and the views of the Manaslu range and Annapurna range from the summit were just incredible.

The EBC trek with Mountain Rock Treks was an experience of a lifetime. Our guide, Tenzin, was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort. The porters were also exceptional, carrying our belongings with a smile. The well-planned itinerary allowed us to acclimate properly and maximise our enjoyment. I'm incredibly grateful to Mountain Rock Treks for making this dream journey a reality.
