The trek itself is amazing, with beautiful scenery along the way, nice tea houses to stay at each night, and great service from our guides. Getting to Base Camp was definitely a highlight for me, but the Heli ride back was even better. After days of tough walking it was great to hop in the Heli and fly over the Khumbu region and see some of the highest peaks in the world up close. It’s a quick return hour flight compared to 10+ days of walking and very comfortable because you’re sitting instead of walking. And absolutely worth every extra penny you’ll have to spend if you choose this trip. The team took care of everything for us, from logistics to meals along the way, too. If you want to experience Everest on an affordable “luxury” trip then I would highly recommend this one.
I was lucky to have chosen Mountains Rock Treks for my 11-day Jomolhari Trek. The trail is well thought out and takes you through the serenity sans humans and ends with beautiful views of Mt. Jomolhari! Everything was professionally managed by the support team that took care of everything we needed during our trek and made us feel safe. The campsites are equipped with toilets and were cleaner/more hygienic than some places i have visited in the remote places. And it’s a great trek if you’re seeking isolation from civilization.
Incredible Lukla Helicopter flight. Mountain Rock treks helped my friends and me complete the EBC trek. We returned to Kathmandu via helicopter. It was an incredible Himalayan mountain experience. They provided us with high-quality equipment during the coldest month of the year.
I had been in Nepal for 5 days and I choose the Everest base camp helicopter tour with landing. The trip was an awesome Everest base camp Heli tour with a landing. Thank you for organizing such a good trip in a short time. I will be back in Kathmandu in near future.
The ideal time to hike was when we traveled in October. There were only 5 of us in our little party, along with a great guide and porters. When the clouds cleared, the sights were breathtaking, and the company was wonderful. Strongly advise using such a well-coordinated, considerate, and amiable crew. It was wonderful to meander through the most fascinating cities, lush meadows, and terraced fields. We had the good fortune to tour the magnificent and venerable Tengboche monastery, the largest site of spiritual reunification in the entire Kumbhu Valley.
Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek with Mountain Rock Treks. I can't exaggerate and express how happy I was along the way; It's great to add Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar. The guide was knowledgeable & always there to help u & especially where it was a steeper section. Upon getting toward Kala Patthar at sunrise, we stayed for a moment, more than one hour on top, as the whole Himalayan range was literally glowing. We all couldn't get enough of all of them so beautifully; the hike itself felt right paced on a number of acclimatization /rest days, supported the staff/Porter's rest tirelessly, helped you in any way possible and made us feel comfortable and cosy.
It was a fantastic time and an unforgettable experience. It was the most unforgettable memory I'd ever had in my life. I loved their culture, hospitality, history, and food. The stay with the locals was fantastic. Excellent way to accompany others.
I booked Everest three passes trek with Mountain Rock Treks in Late October 2022. My favorite part of the trek was participating in the Mani Rimdu Festival at Tengboche monastery. My guide Gyaltsen explained that this festival of great religious significance is observed in Tengboche monastery in October/November, whereas in Thame in May/June. According to Tibetan Buddhism, this ancient dance style carries a religious symbolism. The Mani Rimdu dance undoubtedly astonished and thrilled me because it was similar to a Broadway musical but was performed in the Himalayas with a traditional flair. I can't Thank my guide enough for his support throughout my trek.
