I traveled in luxury to EBC. Gopal served as my guide, and a porter also assisted me. Despite the difficulty, I made it to the summit and had to take a flight home. Mountain Rock Treks was well-run, had all the necessary tools, and was available around the clock. They are great, and hopefully, I'll go on another walk during the holidays!
We had a great time. Definitely worth the money, a wonderful experience, and breathtaking scenery both during the flight and when landing at Gosainkunda!
For those who want to see Nepal's stunning mountains but don't have much time, this is the best option. Only a short portion of the journey is completed, leaving the rest of the day free for further exploration of Nepal. I did the same. I had the best views of Langtang Mountain, Gosaikuna Lake and the valley during the helicopter tour, which I thoroughly enjoyed. All credit goes to Mountain Rock Trek for enabling me to complete this within a reasonable amount of time. I'll try to come by soon.
Mountain Rock Treks was recommended to us by a friend, and we agree. We chose them since they were one of the few firms offering two-week treks that looked tough enough, as well as going into remote sections of Nepal. We appreciated their personalized attention prior to the trip, and their assistance throughout the trip, whether in Kathmandu, Pokhara, or on the walk, was wonderful. We were always entirely safe and wonderfully taken care of.
Mountain Rock Trek provided us with an amazing little trek. They clearly understood our requirements and did all possible to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We had a fantastic time in the magnificent Annapurna region, and everyone, from little children to adults, had fond recollections of our stay in Nepal. The staff is quite honest and does not try to cut corners; my only advise is to comprehend the trail / trekking route and determine if it is appropriate for your pace and physical capacity. I intend to do other short treks in Nepal and would not hesitate to do the MOuntain Rock trek again.
Ten of us went on a two-week journey to Khopra Danda. We stayed in a number of tea houses with Gopal as our guide and got to know a lot of friendly locals. The teahouse meal was delicious and very authentically regional. All the regions and villages along the way were well known to him, and he was well informed about them. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I hope to return someday.
Our beautiful and fantastic vacation began with the short and sweet Ghandruk trek. You'll adore their way of life and the setting. Most excellent village. Seeing Kathmandu's World Heritage Site at the same time was a wonderful opportunity.
