Three weeks ago, I was at the eighth-highest mountain in the world, Mt. Manalsu, standing at 8,163 meters. Living at a high altitude for more than 35 days around the beautiful Himalayan view was an unbelievable experience and a fantastic feeling. I was fortunate to be a member of a unique team of super-powerful and skilled climbers led by our highly capable leader, Mr. Dawa Sherpa. He is an expert that has even reached the top of Everest twice. I enjoyed every single moment. I thank everyone who supported this idea and made it a reality. Thank you, Mr. Dipak Pandey, the expedition organizer, and my climbing partners, whom I became very good friends with Myra Gross, Marsh Harrett, Travis Kennedy, Kenton, and Mel.
I undertook a 9-day trek to Everest Base Camp with Mountain Rock and our excellent Guide, Aangdawa Sherpa. We explored several charming villages, rivers, and waterfalls en route to Everest and the Khumbu Valley. Our Guide meticulously prepared us for each day's trek and monitored our acclimatisation progress at high altitudes. We enjoyed awe-inspiring views from Base Camp and Kala Patthar thanks to the excellent weather conditions. To return from Gorakshep, we opted for a helicopter arranged by Mountain Rock Treks.
We booked our Chitwan Luxury holiday package through Mountain Rock Trek and participated in a number of very enjoyable jungle tours. Our tour was fantastic, and he knew everything about the park. I appreciated the walks, during which we observed a rhino, a tiger paw print, deer, crocodiles, a variety of birds, and a python. Our guide made it a point to warn us that wearing brightly colored apparel (on any of the activities) could be harmful. A few canoe journeys that were a lot of fun, with lots of crocodiles and bird life. The canoes are traditional, carved from a single tree, and sit low in the water. Anyone with limited mobility would have a difficult time getting in and sitting down.
We opted for a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla for our Everest Base Camp trek, which was spectacular. From booking this tour, the team at Mountain Rock Treks has been very helpful, making it a cakewalk for us. It gave tremendous views of the Himalayas, and we actually felt as though we were flying through a postcard. It added a splash of luxury to our adventure. If you're making plans for an Everest Trek, I highly recommend this as an option: an adrenaline-packed experience that really completes the journey to Everest Base Camp.
Our Gokyo – Everest Base Camp Trek was simply the best we could ever ask for at such a low price from Mountain Rock Treks. First, we did a Kathmandu sightseeing tour visiting Pashupatinath, Shanbinath, Boudhanath, and Patan Durbar Square. The next day we flew about 30 minutes to Lukla and started our trek through Changboche Monastery, Everest Base Camp, and Kala Patthar to Gokyo Lake. Mr. Surya was our guide, who was very good and always helpful. When we were in Gokyo, the weather was great, and we had great views of Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, Mt Nuptse, Mt Cho Oyu, Mt Makalu, Mt Ama Dablam, and Mt Thamserku.
The Everest Base Camp trek, indeed, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was a pleasure taking a trip with Mountain Rock Treks! Booked the 10-day Everest Base Camp trek, which was well taken care of by the porters Lobsang and Tashi and the guide Resham. Resham was considerate, knowledgeable, and attentive. He and our porters always ensured we were cared for and comfortable. The days were challenging but also well-balanced and satisfying. Each day had something special and lovely to give without overly complicated or demanding. It was perfect to trek through the tiny towns, forests, and mountains with our small party. The mountain region's aerial views were also magnificent from the helicopter. I heartily suggest it to anyone interested in the Himalayas or Nepal.
It was a fantastic experience to go on a trek with Mountain Rock Treks. Highly recommend it for any trekking packages they offer.
Deepak will stop at nothing to ensure a fantastic time throughout your trek. When issues arose during the hike, our guide, Dolpa, was beneficial and took excellent care of our group. The porters were all incredibly pleasant and cheerful. Their absence would have made our journey less enjoyable.
The highlight of the trip for us was the summit of Island Peak. Pemba led us through the technical climb with confidence and expertise, and we were both thrilled to reach the top. The view from the summit was awe-inspiring, and we felt a sense of accomplishment and pride that we will never forget.
Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience on the Everest Base Camp Trek and Island Peak summit. We are so grateful to Deepak, Pemba, and the rest of the Mountain Rock Treks team for making this trip a reality for us. They indeed went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience, and we can't recommend them enough. If you're considering a trek to the Everest region, we highly recommend giving Mountain Rock Treks a chance to show you the beauty of this incredible region.
