When I visited Gokyo in November 2019, I was treated to a stunning vista of some of the tallest mountains in the world, including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho-yu. Gokyo is more peaceful than the hike to Everest Base Camp and doesn't have to worry about lodging either. Whoever enjoys a little adventure should definitely try it.
I didn't want to fly to Lukla because I knew it was one of the riskier routes to EBC. I contacted Mountain Rock Trek, and they advised me to go from Phaplu to EBC. It was one of the greatest routes since I could see beautiful mountain scenery and traveling through Phaplu village was amazing. I'd want to thank the crew for making my trip exciting and for supporting me along the way.
I recently did the 12-day Everest Base Camp Trek with Mountain Rock Treks, and it was nothing short of AMAZING. From pre-trip planning to the trek itself everything was so well organized. Our guide, Lakpa, was just fantastic - he had so much knowledge to share of the mountains but also made sure we were safe and looked after at all times- simply brilliant. Our porters, Suk and Bukta, were also wonderful- so kind, caring, always going out of their way to help us. The trek is physically challenging, no doubt, but the views are breathtakingly beautiful, not forgetting our team's constant encouragement- we will be forever grateful for this experience! I would highly recommend Mountain Rock Treks for your trip as they are extremely professional and dedicated; this trip definitely was a journey of a lifetime.
I completed the Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek with Mountain Rock Treks. I also hiked to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, which felt like such a personal achievement. The team was professional, friendly and prepared for everything that was thrown at them. Our guide was so knowledgeable and kept us motivated on even the toughest of days! The sunrise from Kala Patthar was mind-blowing. I'll never forget it. I was so impressed at how everything flowed through, from the permits to food; everything had been thought about. This trek is tough but doable with such amazing support. I'm so glad that out of many available tour companies, I chose Mountain Rock Treks for this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
We were two young women who took the helicopter day tour to EBC. For both of us, it was really simple and pleasurable. We began our journey at around 7:00 am, took a flight to Lukla, Pangboche, and Kalapatter, and then landed at the Everest View Hotel to enjoy breakfast against a stunning backdrop.
The Jomolhari Trek, organized by Mountain Rock Treks, was nothing short of spectacular. We hiked for 11 days in stunning landscapes that seemed to change every day, reaching perhaps the most beautiful place on earth when we arrived at the basecamp settlement of Jangothang, from where we had majestic views of Mount Jomolhari. Our guide’s knowledge and pride in Bhutan’s cultural heritage enriched our experience even further. The company’s attention to detail in terms of accommodations, catering and planning was faultless. This trip combined adventure with Culture in a way that provided an unforgettable experience.
It was my second vacation to Nepal, and I was looking forward to a luxury hike in the Everest region. I contacted Dipak, who recommended the Everest luxury Kongde trek. They were attentive from arrival to departure. For me, everything was properly prepared and organized. Yeti hotels gave a truly luxurious stay, and the food served was superb. The village of Kongde was lovely, and I hope to return for another adventure.
Amazing team and very trustworthy reasonable pricing. I haven't come across a better deal from a friendlier business. Definitely, I would advise!
