Of course, I meant to include a local festival on my trip to a local festival which was happening near Jamacho. Mountain Rock Treks fit in the Nagarjun-Jamacho hike with respect to take in the local cultural celebrations as well. 

As the day went on, my guide connected me with locals, and explained local customs with respect to the festival, and an enjoyable cultural element to the already beautiful hike.

We booked our own private Jeep ride to reach the Lukla to complete the Everest Base Camp Trek. Mountain Rock provided a great service and a great team. The Kathmandu - Surkhe road (331 km/14 hours) revealed hidden Nepal: terraced fields, prayer-flag villages, and waving children at jeeps. We completed the trip in one day as they suggested. Their guides tailored our EBC itinerary to include road-side cultural attractions. This jeep ride from Kathmandu to Surkhe and back is Far better than risking flight cancellations.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by taking a private helicopter tour from Lukla to Kathmandu through Mountain Rock Treks. The journey was pure luxury with ample space, a professional pilot, and a pleasant Himalayan scenery. Not having to go through the traffic of the airport and landing directly at Kathmandu was an added advantage to the anniversary holiday. This Heli trip is a must for any couple or anyone who wishes to enjoy a luxury ride.

I recently set out to Kathmandu from Bangalore to see around Guhyeshwari Shaktipeeth, Lord Pashupatinath Temple, Jal Narayan/Budhanilkantha Temple, and other pilgrimage sites in Pokhara, Janakpuri, Lumbini, etc. Arranged a touring package through Mountain Rock Treks. Since I began contacting them, they have always stood by my side to help with my visit to Nepal. They offered me a 13-day pilgrimage package deal at a very affordable cost with which I visited both the pilgrimage places. Dipak from Mountain Rock Treks was at the airport to pick me up, and he handled the tour itineraries to make my stay there. I also visited these places and watched Bagmati Ganga Aarthi in the evening.

During our EBC trekking, our flight from Kathmandu to Lukla was cancelled because it was peak travelling season. Fortunately, Mountain Rock Treks had arranged a flight from Ramechhap to Lukla, saving us important days. Initially, I was a little unhappy with this change, but I later discovered the Ramechhap option was rather nice. It was a flight of sorts, though scenic, and I saw the Himalayas that I would not have seen otherwise. We were also surprised with how efficient Mountain Rock Treks was in dealing with the rerouting. They immediately rearranged our bookings and ensured a direct link to the Ramechhap flight. This is flexible, and if you do not mind moving around a bit, this can be good, especially in the high trekking season with Mountain Rock Treks.

The hike from Mountain Rock to Gosaikunda last year was not only about travelling to the place but also about the trip of self-exploration. This was a spiritually-centred voyage. The Langtang region's pristine beauty and the quietness of Gosaikunda filled me with a unique sense of peacefulness and spirituality. Mountain Rock Treks did an excellent job in this aspect. The experts made us feel safe & secure but also filled us with knowledge about this day's customs and purpose. We joined in the festivities with the other pilgrims alike, and hence, we experienced a reality beyond that of the physical journey.

I did the Tilicho Lake trek with my family, and I had my parents (they are in their 50s) traveling with me who love to trek, but I knew the entire trek would not be possible for them. Mountain Rock Treks has organized a mix of trekking and jeep rides so that it makes it easier for everyone. The team was extremely cooperative; they adjusted the pace according to everybody so that we all enjoyed our time there! For me, doing Tilicho Lake with my family is something I will always cherish; if you plan a trip with your family and want some adventure plus comfort, this is definitely the way to do it.
