"Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour is a newly designed package in the Everest region that combines both trekking and a helicopter tour to Everest base camp and Kala Patthar. It is a four-day trekking/helicopter tour package, ideal for travelers looking for a short luxury trek in the Khumbu region."

Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour is the perfect package for travelers looking for a relatively easy and comfortable trip up to the lap of Mt. Everest, Everest Base Camp (5,364 m). It's a brand new EBC package, so only a few travelers have experienced it. Leaving the bustling Everest base camp trekking route, we take a new approach to reach EBC.

Regardless of its short itinerary, you'll enjoy trekking through lush rhododendron forests and beautiful Sherpa villages. As the trekking part is quick and doable, anyone can do Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour. No previous trekking experience or advanced physical fitness is needed for this venture.

The Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour offers you jaw-dropping aerial mountain panoramas. You get to see some of the highest and most stunning mountains like Everest (8,849 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Cho Oyu (8,188 m), Island Peak (6,160 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Makalu (8,463 m), Nuptse (7,861 m), Pumori (7,161 m), etc. during the helicopter flight. Not only that, the landscapes while trekking is phenomenal too.

We cannot recommend Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour enough to you all. The luxury trekking and helicopter tour experience it offers in the Himalayas are commendable. Our Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour 2022 autumn booking is open. You can also book Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour 2023 spring/autumn as per your time availability.

With the Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour, we want to make Everest base camp and trekking in the Khumbu region more accessible to travelers. Our goal is to take as many Everest dreamers as we can to its base camp without compromising the quality of service. For more information, please get in touch with us.

How does the Everest circuit helicopter tour differ from the Everest base camp trek and Everest base camp helicopter tour?

Everest base camp trek and Everest base camp helicopter tour are two most favorite ways to explore the Khumbu region and reach the lap of the world's highest mountains. EBC trekking is a long 12 to14 days or above trip. It requires good physical fitness, stamina, and prolonged walking hours for more than ten days.

On the other hand, the EBC helicopter tour is a 4 hours trip to the basecamp Everest. This is the ideal package for travelers who cannot trek to Everest base camp because of time limitations or looking for a last-minute adventure in the mountains.

These packages are very loved, but thousands of adventure hearts become part of it every year. So, Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour lets one explore the Khumbu region and its wonders in an entirely distinct way. Unlike choosing between trekking or a helicopter tour, Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour combines both and keeps the journey relatively easy and short.

Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour itinerary

Our Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour begins with a 45 minutes helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport (2,860 m). We'll pick you up from your hotel and drop you at the airport early in the morning for the helicopter flight. From Kathmandu, the helicopter takes off, and soon, you can see Ganesh Himal (7,422 m) and Langtang Lirung (7,234 m).

Gradually, flying over lush green hills and enjoying a breathtaking panorama of the snow-capped Himalayan mountain, we land at Lukla airport. We spend the night at Yeti Mountain Lodge in Lukla on this day. Lukla is the gateway to the Khumbu region. We'll explore the nearby areas and spend the day relishing the scenery.

The next day, we flew in a helicopter to Hotel Everest View (3,962 m). The flight will be around 15 minutes long from Lukla to Everest View Hotel. It is a luxury lodge known for the Mt. Everest view from all of its windows. The hotel’s contemporary interior and the wonderful setting amidst mountains & lush forests have won the hearts of a bazillion travelers.

From here, we descend to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) to spend the night in the same chain of Yeti Mountain Lodge. Our day in Namche Bazaar will be full of fun activities. We explore the village and the museum. Meet with locals and get to see the daily lifestyle of Sherpas. Namche Bazaar has many modern services, including many cafes and restaurants.

On the third day of our Everest Circuit Helicopter Tour, we further trek to Kongde. Leaving Namche Bazaar, we descend on a steep trail through dense forests. Passing by small settlement areas, lush forests, and streams, we reach Jorsale (2,740 m). Here onwards, we cross several suspension bridges. The trail passes by villages like Monjo (2,835 m), Chhumowa (2,760 m), Bengkar (2,630 m), and Toktok (2,760 m).

Further, we follow an uphill route through forested woodland to Kongde village. We spend the night in Yeti Mountain Home. That's all for trekking. We end this very day relaxing. The next morning begins with an adventurous flight to Pheriche (4,371 m), where we may stop to adjust the helicopter weight if the group has more than three passengers.

The helicopter flight continues to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and ascends to Kala Patthar (5,644 m), where we land for 10 minutes. We do not land at EBC because of space issues and no views of Mt. Everest. Kala Patthar offers gorgeous sunrise and 360-degree views of the Himalayan mountains.

We cannot spend more than 10 minutes at Kala Patthar because of the risks of altitude sickness and fly over the Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall. At last, we see aerial views of the holy Gokyo Lake and gradually descend to Kathmandu. Our team will escort you to your hotel. Please take some time and leave your trip review.

  • 2,860 Meters

After scrumptious breakfast with a stunning landscape, we take a short helicopter ride from Lukla to Hotel Everest View. We take some time to explore this hotel before descending to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m). Usually, trekkers hike to Hotel Everest View to acclimatize and witness breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, etc.

We spend the rest of the day in Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the tourist hub of the Khumbu region. We'll visit museums (Everest Photo Gallery and Sherpa Culture Museum) and cafes around the village. Spend time with locals and explore the souvenir shops.  Overnight in a luxury lodge

We trek to the village of Thame (3,700m). You will encounter very few trekkers on the trail as this is away from the main route to Everest base camp (EBC). The course takes you through some small villages, and forested areas, with Mount Kongde towering on the opposite side of the valley.

The expansive horizon offers vast panoramas of the entire Khumbu Valley and its renowned 8000m peaks; Everest, Lhotse Makalu, and Cho Oyu. Our helicopter picks us up from Kongde, and we fly to Kala Patthar. It is the last day of our trip. We'll begin the helicopter flight early in the morning to catch the gorgeous sunrise from Kala Patthar and avoid potentially unstable weather in the daytime.

The helicopter flight unfolds heavenly mountain views and presents a very close perspective of the giant Himalayan mountains. We fly over Everest Base camp but do not land here. First, the idea of Mt. Everest is not seen from the base camp, and second, the landing space is insufficient.

We land at Kala Patthar for 10 minutes and fly back to Kathmandu. We fly over the Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall on the flight back. We also see surreal views of the Gokyo Valley and Gokyo Lakes.
