Sunkoshi’s naturally set flow that progressively changes from a general standard to more challenging as it descends makes it a preferred rafting river. This phenomenon facilitates adequate time to practice skills on easy water before hitting the more interesting, bigger, and continuous rapids down the river. The Sunkoshi River originates near Tibet and is joined by the Bhoti Koshi just downstream from Barbesi. Most rafting trips start at Dolaghat and follow the eastward flows eastwards through the great valley between MahabharatLekh range and the Himalayas.
