Shivapuri National Park

The Shivapuri National Park is a conservation area near Kathmandu Valley in the north of Nepal. The park comprises an area of 61 square miles and was established in 2002 to protect this district's ecosystems and biodiversity. During your Nagarkot Chisapani Trek, Shivapuri National Park will be your pathway via the Sundari Jal.

Shivapuri National Park is an area with a vast range of flora and fauna – over 500 species of plants, 300 species of birds, and various mammals, including leopards, deer, and wild boars. Park has become a vital water supplier of Kathmandu as it's headstream of the Bagmati and Bishnumati rivers.

The park offers a complete list of activities like hiking, bird watching, and nature photography. These trails that follow the routes will take you through the magnificence of the Himalayas and the surrounding beautiful scenery.

Chisapani Village

Chisapani, a small hill station, is located north of Kathmandu Valley, the region of Bagmati Zone, Nepal. It is situated at an altitude of 1350 m above Kathmandu. It is a small, scenic, adventure-filled village near Kathmandu.

A place like Chisapani is ideal for tourists, and with this in mind, this location is included in your Trek to Nagarkot and Chisapani, too.

It is located inside the Shivapuri National Park, where you can behold the imposing scenery of snow-capped mountain ranges and verdant hills. Additionally, it is an ideal viewing spot for sunrise and sunset because it is situated in Langtang, Everest, Annapurna, and Manaslu regions. Chisapani is the next stop you visit as per your Chisapani and Nagarkot Trek Itinerary, which shows you the fantastic mountain and range view, dense forest, beautiful village, and unique sunrise and sunset. As an added feature, you can learn about the Tamang culture when you visit there.

Nagarkot- Best Viewpoint in Kathmandu

The famous Nagarkot hill station is located just 32 km west of Kathmandu. You will reach the place on the 2nd day of a Short hike to Chisapani Nagarkot. The town is situated 2,175 meters (7,163 feet) above sea level and is renowned for the breathtaking panoramas of the world-famous Himalayas Mountains Range, including Mount Everest. Nagarkot is well known by its visitors as a close and quickly reachable getaway. Locals may stay overnight in Nagarkot for a couple of days and wake up early to watch the sunrise and relax. Other outdoor activities, such as mountain biking, are also available besides Nagarkot Trekking. The town of Nagarkot is small and serene, and it is not a buzzing place with plenty of guesthouses and restaurants for tourism. Besides its natural beauty, Nagarkot has a few cultural and religious monuments, including Bhagwati Temple Nagarkot and The Nagarkot Danda Hill. Besides, it is a sacred hill that offers the best lookouts of the Himalayas.

Changunarayan Temple: UNESCO Heritage Site

The Changu Narayan Temple, Kathmandu's oldest Hindu temple, features a two-tiered pagoda style and exquisitely carved Tantric deities. Although there was damage from last year's earthquake, restoration activities are ongoing. The temple is the last place you visit on your 3-day Chisapani and Nagarkot Trek package. The temple contains the deity of Vishnu Narayan, which is only open to Hindus during worship. With the Garuda figure dating back to the 5th century, the inscription text of AD 464 (the oldest stone inscription), and carvings showing Vishnu's avatars, this valley provides many distinguished qualities. At the top of the hill rests the Changu Narayan Temple, which is surrounded by forestry and has a beautiful garden.
