Planning an Everest Base Camp trek from Dubai seemed so hard, but I was recommended Mountain Rock Treks. They had all the info for us, from how to prepare for the trip before we left, and in Nepal, they told us which were the best flights to get between Dubai and Kathmandu. The trek itself is just amazing; at every corner you turn, you see mountains with snow on top of them, Himalayan villages that look like they are still sleeping, and our guide, Bishnu, kept us safe and entertained, telling us about being a sherpa. It’s not too hard either, even if you have never done a multi-day trek before. I am blessed to have gone on this trip.
The guide kept us safe and comfortable despite the activity on the street and frequently checked in with everyone.
He provided a number of tips about the customs of the local people and how to navigate the marketplace respectfully.
Our pace was leisurely enough we could take photographs and soak in the atmosphere. It's clear that Mountain Rock Treks looks after their guests.
Due to flight cancellations, booking a regular flight from Lukla to Kathmandu was very difficult. Fortunately, we caught Mountain Rock Treks; thus, they managed to book a helicopter flight for us in no time. It was smooth regarding bookings, quite efficient, which really reduced our stress. Later, in the helicopter, it was really enjoyable to have such amazing views of the Himalayas. Thus, we were relieved upon our arrival in Kathmandu with no further hassle. If you are in the same situation, I highly recommend taking this helicopter flight; that was really a time-saving and breathtaking experience.
I am a lover of ancient architecture, and this tour was awesome. Everyone was taken to the Potala Palace, Norbulingka (the summer palace), and Drepung Monastery, which offered lots of good photo opportunities and time for questions after each visit.
The guide had very interesting stories about Tibetan Kings and Buddhist rituals connected to each site, making each site more significant. Details of the trip from Mountain Rock Treks made it all very enjoyable and memorable.
I sought new challenges after climbing many 6000m and 7000m peaks. Nepal's reputation preceded it, leading me to the majestic Mt. Manaslu, the eighth-tallest peak in the world. The expedition turned out to be a thrilling success. Reaching the summit was the climax of success, but the trek to Manaslu’s base camp was no less life-changing. The team’s expertise and leadership were praiseworthy. I thank Mountain Rock Treks for their outstanding service, which was beyond my imagination. The Sherpas, the dedicated kitchen staff, and porters made navigating the treacherous terrain of Nepal an easy affair. Their priceless contributions guaranteed a smooth and memorable event.
I was feeling the urge for a brief nature getaway, so I started searching for hikes in the area and found Mountain Rock Treks. They organize for us to hike Nagarjun-Jamacho on the same day, with an extraordinary guide.
This outing offered fresh mountain air and beautiful trails, and was exactly what I needed to re-energize myself. The spontaneous outing with Mountain Rock Treks could not have been easier and more re-energizing due to their flexibility and timing.
I traveled with my family (with children), and I was thankful that Mountain Rock Treks made sure the city tour was accommodating for every age.
Our tour guide was flexible and patient, and he adapted his vocabulary while allowing the kids to become engaged.
The vehicle was spacious and air-conditioned, and we were comfortable all day. It was a wonderful way for a family to visit, to safely see the beautiful heritage of Kathmandu without stress.
My partner and I recently completed the Fantastic Everest and Gokyo trek with Mountain Rock Treks, and it was indeed an incredible experience. Our guide, Pemba, was professional and very helpful and ensured we were safe and comfortable throughout the trek. The porter, Lama, was also very friendly and polite, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the trip. The scenery during the trek was breathtaking and constantly changed, making every day feel like a new adventure. The trek was undoubtedly challenging, especially the Cho La Pass, but it was all worth it for the unforgettable views and sense of accomplishment. We highly recommend Deepak from Mountain Rock Treks for anyone considering this trek!"
